Working with individuals or communities in preservation planning, feasibility studies, and design draws on Garner’s training in architecture & planning. Incorporating historic buildings into community planning, mapping historic resources, and advising on form-based design in historic urban or residential neighborhoods can help communities achieve their goals of adaptive reuse and investment in old neighborhoods. Individual feasibility studies, restoration plans, and modern design are services provided by KW Garner.

In an effort to provide compatible retail and housing development, Greendale Main Street contracted with the Garner-Hoerstman partnership to map the community’s historic resources and propose infill that would enhance quality of life while preserving the character of the small Dearborn County city.
